Thymosin Alpha-1 is a 28-amino acid peptide fragment of prothymosin alpha, originally isolated from thymic tissue extract. Research has characterized its role in promoting T-cell maturation and differentiation, modulating dendritic cell function via toll-like receptor (TLR2/TLR9) signaling, and restoring immune competence in models of immunosuppression.
