Reconstitution Basics
Lyophilized peptides are typically reconstituted with bacteriostatic or sterile water immediately prior to use in a research setting. Reconstitution volume and technique should follow the protocol appropriate to your specific study design — consult your lab's SOPs and the compound's certificate of analysis.
Storage & Stability
Unreconstituted, lyophilized compounds are generally most stable stored frozen (-20°C) and protected from light. Once reconstituted, most peptides should be refrigerated and used within the timeframe indicated on the certificate of analysis to preserve research integrity.
Reading a Certificate of Analysis (COA)
A COA documents third-party HPLC (or equivalent) verification of purity and identity for a specific batch. Every product page links to its COA where available — always confirm the batch/lot number on your COA matches the vial you received.
