Description
Epithalon (epitalon) is a synthetic tetrapeptide (Ala-Glu-Asp-Gly) modeled on epithalamin, a peptide preparation derived from the pineal gland. Foundational research has reported that Epithalon activates telomerase expression in human somatic cell lines, extending replicative capacity in vitro, and studies have additionally examined its role in regulating melatonin secretion and circadian rhythm signaling. It remains an active subject of longevity and cellular-senescence research, including studies on chromosome stability in aging cell models.
