Description
Delta sleep-inducing peptide (DSIP) is a nonapeptide first isolated from rabbit cerebral venous blood during induced delta-wave sleep. Its studied mechanism is not fully characterized, but research has associated DSIP with modulation of sleep architecture (particularly slow-wave/delta sleep stages), circadian rhythm signaling, and attenuation of hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal (HPA) axis activation under stress models. Additional preclinical work has examined DSIP's interaction with opioid and GABAergic signaling pathways. Supplied for in-vitro laboratory research only — not for human or veterinary use.
